What is SigEp?
Sigma Phi Epsilon, often shortened to simply "SigEp", is a fraternity dedicated to breaking down the stereotypes of the modern day fraternity system. Since its founding on November 1st, 1901, SigEp has grown to become the largest fraternity in the nation with 257 chapters, over 15,000 undergraduates, and over 289,000 lifetime members. SigEp was the first fraternity ever to eliminate race restrictions on membership in 1959, the first fraternity to charter a chapter in all 50 states, and the first fraternity to put an end to pledging along with hazing.

At San Diego State University, SigEp maintains a dominant standing at campus. Throughout the recent years, Cal Delta has had many accomplishments:
- Recipient of the Fall 2010 "Most Outstanding Student Organization" Award, which is the first time a Greek Organization has ever been nominated for the award.
- Highest GPA of all Greek Chapters on campus 13 semesters in a row and counting.
- Recipient of the University Dean's Trophy every year for the past 6 years.
- Recipient of the national fraternity's Buchanan Cup 3 times in a row over the past 6 years, awarded to the top 10% of chapters nationwide.
- In the Fall 2010 - Spring 2011 academic year, out of 4 IFC Intramural sports, SigEp placed 1st in basketball and soccer and 2nd place in softball.
- SigEp maintains a full social calendar with all premier Panhellenic Sororities.
